The Uganda National Roads Authority-UNRA has introduced an electronic payment system for the Entebbe Expressway toll. The East African Crude Oil Pipeline-EACOP, the firm spearheading the development of Uganda’s crude oil export pipeline, has applied for the license to start the construction of the heated and buried crude oil pipeline from Uganda to Tanzania. The Uganda Tourism Board has announced plans to use Karuma hydropower dam to promote leisure industry in the country. The Chief Magistrates Court at Buganda Road has today 1st July, 2022 granted bail to Dr. Kizza Besigye and his Co-accused Samuel Lubega Mukaaku. Besigye and Lubega Mukaaku were granted a Cash bail of UGX 2.5 million each and UGX 500,000 non-cash for their sureties.
