LDC Dismisses Academic Registrar over Gross Misconduct, Unprofessionalism and Unethical Conduct
The Law Development Centre (LDC) has dismissed its Academic Registrar, Mr. Everest Turyahikayo after finding him guilty of gross misconduct on grounds of unprofessional and unethical conduct.
Mr. Turyahikayo who has been Academic Registrar of Uganda’s sole Bar course teaching Institution (LDC) for eight (8) years was interdicted over sexual harassment of students in November.

Court Releases 6 Rwenzururu Royal Guards on Bail after 6 Years on Remand
Court has on Tuesday 20th December 2022, released six (6) Rwenzururu Kingdom Royal guards on non-cash bail of ten million shillings (ugx10m).
According to the High Judge Alice Komuhangi Kaukha of the International Crimes Division, the guards were released on grounds that they had advanced in age and looked frail and sickly after six years on remand at Jinja Main Prison.

Kakiri: Traffic Police Officer Tragically Dies, Another Seriously Injured In an Accident
Police in Kakiri are investigating circumstances under which a fatal accident that claimed the life of a Traffic Police officer and left another one seriously injured occurred.
According to the Traffic Police at Kakiri Police Station, the deceased officer was identified as PC Sulah Kadede, while PC Dramviku survived with serious injuries.
