Senegal forward, Sadio Mane is finally off the shelf after marrying his longtime girlfriend Aisha Tamba in a beautiful marriage ceremony that took place in Keur Massar, Dakar, in the West African country of Senegal.
On Sunday, January 7, 2024 , Mane introduced his girlfriend and now wife to the world in an Islamic marriage ceremony.
A few days before committing to his wife, Mane presented a stadium he built to the people of his hometown Bambali before heading off for his AFCON duties.
Mane, who is one of the most followed African footballers in the world , surprised his fans with the news of his wedding since his love life has always been out of the public eye.
According to sources, the only time that Mane ever spoke about marriage was about two years ago when he described the type of woman he would want to make his life partner.
Mane is said to have first spotted Tamba when she was just 16 years old, but he did not approach her formally since she was a minor at the time. However, it is said that he communicated his intentions to his uncle, who is a friend of the family, something that paved the way for their eventual union.
Tamba was born in Casamance, a town bordering Bambali, the village where her husband hails from. She is 18 years old, according to Senegalese news outlet, Sene News. She is the daughter of an architect and speaks the native Mandingo language, the same as the Al-Nassr star.
Mane is also said to have supported Tamba throughout her education and is in her final year of school.
Mane, who is loved by most African football fans due to his love for his country, tied the knot with Tamba less than five days after unveiling a new stadium he built in his home country, Senegal.
He is appreciated and best known for building a petrol station and post office in his home village – Bambali. He left his home in 2008 to pursue his dream of playing football in Dakar and has since then made tremendous developments in his village.
