“I tasked them to ensure there is no crime so that people can produce goods and services for prosperity. When you get CID or police who is not doing their work, they are undermining our prosperity,” the President tweeted.

The President further said that strategic security is one of the goals of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) revolution, and CID officers are essential to defending the populace from internal and external threats.

“Strategic security is among the missions of the NRM revolution, and CID officers should play a key role in protecting the people against internal and external threats,” the President stated.

He further stated that the country cannot be prosperous if it keeps experiencing cases of insecurity.
