Lohana High School perimeter wall has collapsed and killed six street children where as two have been rushed to Mulago Hospital, Police has confirmed.

The school is located along Matia Mulumba Road in Old Kampala after former Pride Theatre

Luke Owoyesigire, Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson says the children were sleeping in a channel beneath the wall which collapsed at around 2.30 AM in the wee hours of the morning.

He said the Police Rescue Team is still combing through the accident scene to find out if more children could have been buried by the fallen debris.

A one Kasirye, a survivor, says he is still alive because his friends denied him sleeping space.

Police attributes the collapse of the wall to the heavy Sunday rains which might have made it weaker.
