Recently, a little-known opposition politician, named Ishaa Otto Amiza, also former Oyam South MP, published a "blistering" screed in various online publications. The article titled, “Citizens, friends of Uganda, stand up now for civic action against militarism.”

Court Grants Besigye, Mukaaku Ugx2.5 million Cash Bail
The Chief Magistrates Court at Buganda Road has today 1st July, 2022 granted bail to Dr. Kizza Besigye and his Co-accused Samuel Lubega Mukaaku.
Besigye and Lubega Mukaaku were granted a Cash bail of UGX 2.5 million each and UGX 500,000 non-cash for their sureties.
This follows the High Court's dismissal of the duos bail application yesterday, June 30th 2022.

UPDF Recovers Stolen Cattle in Abim District
The Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) in Abim District has recovered over 16 heads of cattle from Jie cattle rustlers.
According to Capt. Amos Nsamba the UPDF’s 5th Division Spokesperson, the cattle belonging to Odong Nicholas of Wiceere Cell, Oringowelo Ward in Abim Town Council, were raided yesterday 30th June 2022 at around 2:00 pm from his home.
