The President of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has been duly nominated as a presidential candidate for the race 2021 Presidential Elections.

The president observed the Electoral Commission guideline and as per the requirements was on time and was not guided by crowds to the nomination grounds in Kyambogo.

This however did not stop supporters to stand by the main roads to Kyambogo to show him solidarity. The supporters remained very calm and respected the barricades and demarcations that Police put in place.

While addressing the Press after nominations, the President vowed to eliminate corruption and focus on creating employment for the youth and unemployed Ugandans.

The president was handed over a brand new Pick up for security like will be given to all the presidential candidates that will pass through the nominations.

The discipline displayed by the president has set a precedence for the rest of the Candidates and hopefully this will send a message to the candidates planning to mobilize boda bodas to rally ahead and behind them.

The president is expected to later on at 2: 00Pm head to Munyonyo where he is going to unveil the new NRM manifesto.  The new manifesto will be launched shortly after a review has been made to the public on the score of the president on the old manifesto.
