President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has commissioned the Musita-Lumino- Busia-Majanji road in Iganga.

Museveni then performed groundbreaking ceremonies for; Saaza road, Iganga—Kiyunga—Bulopa—Kamuli/Buwenge roads.

“These are critical link roads in Districts of Luuka, Bugiri,Namutumba, Iganga, Bugiri, Kibuku, Budaka, Busia, Kaliro and Namayingo), a statement reads.

The President warned the locals to adhere to Covid-19 prevention guidelines since the pandemic is still with us.

”I also noticed that the locals are not heeding our message of social distancing and avoiding gatherings without necessary SOPs. This was reason enough for me not to stop and address our people here because it is dangerous for them and myself at this critical time.

I call upon you to avoid gathering without SOPs, COVID-19 is real and kills,” he commented

The President spent most of the day in Iganga where most of his excited supporters gathered up in show of their support to him since what he has done for them is remarkable.

The residents thanked the President for improving their road network and other forms of service delivery and pledged  overwhelming support in the forthcoming Presidential elections.

Uganda’s road network has greatly improved since NRM came into power and the road network is yet to extend to the neighboring countries like Congo and South Sudan.
