Zaake’s Behavior Part of Larger Plan for Opposition Violence

The behavior of Zzake Francis, Member of Parliament for Mityana Municipality towards Makerere Vice Chancellor, Professor Nawangwe was not only unbecoming of person of that stature.

But is also a part of carefully choreographed plan by the opposition to instigate violence among the population and increase animosity towards authority ahead of the 2021 general elections.

What Zaake did is no different from what he and his cronies in the opposition did when they fought in the chambers an action that left the legislators hospitalized at the tax payers cost abroad.

The group that Zaake belongs to does not believe in dialogue and meaningful debate to resolve political disputes.
It is also an attempt by the people power group to hijack the role of the committee on education and turn a technical debate into a political one.

When evidence was produced that the riots in makerere were politically motivated and sponsored by opposition political actors, many doubted it. However tho action in broad day light proves that the people group had vested interest in the violence at the main campus.

Other opposition elements like those in Forum for Democratic Change have already declared campaigns of violence against security.

Their plan is not in isolation. The demonstrations by the women’s league of the FDC earlier on the same day is another Testament to this line of thought.
