The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has designated Monday, July 31, 2023 as the final day of late registration for 2023 candidates.

According to Jennifer Kulule, UNEB’s Principal Public Relations Officer, candidates who fail to register for the 2023 UNEB examinations will face a 100% fee effective Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

Kulule indicated that a PLE applicant will be required to pay a 100% increase on Shs 34,000, a Shs 164,000 increase for UCE candidates, and a Shs 186,000 increase for UACE candidates.

She urged Centre heads to provide candidates the opportunity to double-check the accuracy of the data supplied on the portal and make any required changes before the deadline of July 31, 2023.

“Heads of Centres are reminded to give candidates the opportunity to cross-check the correctness of the data uploaded on the portal and make the necessary amendments,” Kalule stated.

She added that candidates should check the correctness of their names, dates of birth, gender, schools of choice, subjects registered for, and image resolution.

Kalule also urged Centre heads to notify UNEB and its board of any alterations.

Any adjustments submitted before the deadline of July 31, 2023, will, however, be free of charge according to UNEB.
