The President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri K. Museveni, is set to travel for the C-10 Summit in Equatorial Guinea to review the impact of the financial crisis in Africa, as well as advising on Africa’s response and put forward African perspectives to the G20.

On October 26, 2023, President Museveni received an official invitation from his counterpart, H.E. Teodoro Obang Nguema Mbasogo, the President of Equatorial Guinea, to attend the C-10 summit.

“I received an official invitation from H.E. Teodoro Obiang.
Nguema Mbasogo, the president of Equatorial Guinea, will attend this year’s C-10 summit,” the president said.

The president said Uganda is one of the 10 African countries.

C-10 was created during a meeting of ministers and governors in Tunis in November 2008. African leaders are mandated to review the effects of the financial crisis in Africa and present African perspectives to the G20.

The G20, formed in 1999, is a group of twenty of the world’s largest economies that meet regularly to coordinate global policy on trade, health, climate, and other issues.
