The Uganda Police Force has denied allegations that the force has withdrawn all traffic operations along highways during the festive period.

This is after false statements were spread on social media indicating that the force was to withdraw personnel especially commanders due to allegations of corruption.

According to a statement on the Police website, the force is set to increase deployment ahead of the festive period so as to avert traffic incidents as they have previously happened.

The police is set to beef up the fika salaama operations and has warned drivers and road users to be cautious while driving during this busy period.
