Police Detains 9 and Recovers 2 guns, over Mobile Money agent’s Robbery

The police have arrested nine suspected robbers behind a spate of robberies targeting Mobile money outlets and agents in Kampala city.

During a weekly press brief, CP Fred Enanga   the police spokesperson on Monday disclosed that two guns were also recovered in the course of a two days’ security operation. He said the criminals had been undertaken by the Police’s Directorate of Crime Intelligence in coordination with Kampala Metropolitan Police, flying Squad Unit and the territorial Police in Nsangi, Kabalagala, as well as in Kassanda district.

Enanga said the arrests were made following two major operations on June 20 and June 22, 2023
