Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyau has just concluded a One day visit to Uganda, his second in a four year time span. Israel and Uganda enjoy a very cordial relationship spanning a wide range of sectors and has been a key development partner for the government of Uganda.

However, the fact that a leading global leader like Netanyau seems it prudent to visit the Pearl of Africa shows that we remain an attractive pull for global development partners for investment and development projects.

Many naysayers had tried to tarnish the trip with gross allegations of technical surveillance ahead of the general elections.

A statement from the Israel counter parts read, “Prime Minister Netanyahu met with Ugandan President Museveni. The two discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in a broad range of areas: Civilian, economic, health, water, energy, communications and agriculture”.

The President of Uganda also invited the Israel national carrier to start flying to Uganda so as to open up the markets to both countries.
