Fred Kajjubi Lumbuye, a Ugandan blogger based in Turkey, has cautioned Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, a musician-turned-politician, to refrain from discussing matters relating to the affairs of Kabaka and the Buganda Kingdom with immediate effect.
Lumbuye’s warning comes at a time when Kyagulanyi and NUP leaders are battling a series of attacks and criticism from subjects for disrespecting and insulting Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II and the Buganda Kingdom.
Lumbuye expressed concerns that Bobi Wine’s comments undermine and disrespect the cultural leader.
“If Bobi Wine wants peace with Buganda, he should stop commenting on the affairs of the kingdom,” Lumbuye said.
Lumbuye said Kabaka plays a significant role in the cultural identity of the Baganda people, and it is crucial to approach issues concerning Kabaka and the Buganda Kingdom with the utmost respect.
The call to action has sparked discussions among citizens and political analysts. Lumbuye is known for his radical attacks on top government officials.
