Four Police Officers Arrested Over Abid Alam Evictions

The Police has arrested four top officials in connection with evictions and torture of residents in Mubende and Kassanda districts. The four were arrested on direction from the State House Anti Corruption Unit.

The unit received calls and complaints from the residents after unknown thugs believed to be working for business man Abid Alam cut down plantations and animals earlier this week.

The investor and the residents have been embroiled in dispute over the land. The arrested officials are also accused of aiding the businessman to do his acts.

The arrested include, SP Wanyama Wilber,  DPC Kassanda, Owellano Peter, OC Cid and  Cid records Sgt Azale.
