URC Temporarily Closes Road between Hared Fuel Station, Jinja Road Kireka

Uganda Railways Corporation (URC) has advised motorists planning to use the access road between Hared fuel station Kinawataka road and the highway A109 Kampala-Jinja Road in Kireka to use alternative routes due to the temporary closure of the road.

In a press release issued on September 4, 2023, URC stated that the temporary closure is to allow construction works on the Kireka Railway level crossing to commence.

“Uganda Railway Corporation (URC) informs motorists and the general public that there will be a temporary closure of the access road between Hared fuel station Kinawataka road and the highway A109 Kampala-Jinja Road in Kireka,” read the URC notice.

According to the URC, road users will not be able to connect from Kinawattaka to the A109 Kampala-Jinja Highway or vice versa until Tuesday, September 12, 2023, and are advised to use the A109 Kampala-Jinja Road and Nakawa-Kinawattaka Road.
