Traffic Police To Conduct On Spot Checks On Public Vehicles For Vaccination Cards, Enforce SoPs

The Traffic and Road Safety Police is set to conduct spot checks along the roads in an operation aimed at ensuring that the Standard Operation Procedures -SOPs are observed and public vehicle operators have Covid-19 Vaccination Cards.

ASP Faridah Nampiima, the Traffic and Road Safety Police Spokesperson says that Conductors and drivers of buses and taxis are expected to operate with the Ministry of Health Covid-19 Vaccination cards and ensure that passengers wear masks.

Nampiima says that bodaboda riders are expected to ride responsibly while transporting children back to school to avoid accidents.

She however warns that those found not following the SOPs will have taxis and bus off loaded along the way
