President Raisi Vows Collaboration with Uganda in Fighting ADF Terrorists

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who is currently in Uganda for a two-day visit, today, July 13th, 2023, has condemned the recent attacks of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) and promised to work hand in hand with the Ugandan government to fight against such incidents.

President Raisi delivered these remarks during a bilateral meeting with his Ugandan counterpart, President Yoweri K Museveni, at State House.

“We will never forget the painful incident of the 40 Ugandan children being killed in the Western part of your country in the terrorist attack.”

“We believe that we should stand together against this kind of incident, and we believe that the position adopted by Uganda in order to fight against terrorism, extremism, and any other diversions is appreciable,” he added.

He pledged unwavering support in combating such incidents of violence.

“Together, we’ll work hand in hand to ensure the protection of human life and uphold peace,” he stated.

President Raisi is on a tour to three African countries: Kenya, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. The purpose of this tour is to promote economic diplomacy, strengthen political relations with friendly and allied countries, and diversify export destinations.
