Ssali Joash, 37, a school patron at Kasisi Day and Boarding Primary School, has been detained by the territorial police in the Rwenzori West and Fortportal East Division for sodomizing and defiling three male pupils.
He had been evading capture until police located him in Bugongi village in Sheema district.
According to SCP Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson,Ssali was reported on June 12, 2023, for the alleged aggravated defilement and sodomy of three male pupils in the boarding section.
“After medical examination, it was established that one of the pupils had a raptured anus, which proved penetration. Two other victims were found to be negative,” Enanga said.
Enanga said all three male pupils were psychologically traumatised and are still undergoing psychosocial support.
He strongly condemned all forms of sexual violence in schools, saying they were going to ensure the school patron was held accountable for his crimes of child sexual abuse.
