Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago, who doubles as Vice President for the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), revealed during a political talk show on Thursday, July 20, 2023, that he knew the source of the goons that had rained havoc on journalists; these goons were hired by his ‘intelligence boys’.

“You cannot operate this city without intelligence; my intelligence boys were the agents used to hire the goons, so I know who hired them and I know exactly where those goons were hired within the city,” Lukwago said.

Lukwago added that he often gets mistaken for causing violence when Amuriat accuses him of moving from one organisation to another to cause havoc, which the Lord Mayor refutes.

“People say I walk from party to party orchestrating violence; that is not true; in fact, I hate the violence. Have I not been vindicated by the events of the day, ugly and regrettable as they are?” Lukwago said.

According to Amuriat, Lukawgo’s aim is to disorganize well-set structures, and wherever he goes, he causes chaos and divisions, like he did in Democratic Party and now FDC.

“Lukwago’s track record of causing chaos and havoc wherever he goes speaks for itself, he claims to be an activist at Katonga, but we know his intentions are to take over the party leadership, so by making people at FDC- Najjanakumbi look bad, it works in his favour,” Amuriat stated.

In light of the above confusion, Lukwago’s knowledge of the origin of the goons, Amuriats’s allegations, and previous city violent attacks on security personnel and business entities during different riots, it is then enough for one to conclude that indeed Lord Mayor Lukwago has goons on his payroll and understands their operations quite well, since in his own narration, they were outsourced and hired by his intelligence team.

Is it then enough to conclude that Lukwago is a mafia chaos lord running the city with his city goons as per his own revelations?
