Police in Kenya have Launches investigations to ascertain circumstances under which the Uhuru Northlands Farm was invaded and destroyed, allegedly by unknown people on Monday.

This follows an incident where dozens of unknown people on Monday raided the Northlands farm along the Eastern Bypass, Ruiru, and destroyed property. The group cut down trees using power saws, stole livestock and set the farm on fire.

It’s said police deployed after nearly 24 hours after the raid.

The group was armed with power saws and machetes and felled a number of trees before escaping with an unknown number of sheep from there. This is after they breached a fence around the expansive farm.

“As if stealing sheep and cutting down trees wasn’t enough, they later in evening burt the farm down to clear and destroy the evidence. Uhuru Kenyatta family farm in mess,” said one of the witnesses.

Azimio leader Raila Odinga has condemned the invasion of East Africa Spectre Limited along Mombasa Road and the Kenyatta family-owned land along the Eastern Bypass, Ruiru. He described the acts as those of cowardice

“Wale wanakwenda kuvamia shamba za wengine na viwanda, Wale ni waoga (Those invading other people’s lands and companies. Those are cowards),” he said.
