JACOB OULANYA: Eulogies from Double Edged Opposition Very Hypocritical

Yesterday Sunday 20th, the country was gripped with grief and shock after the passing on of the Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon. Jacob Oulanya.

Oulanya has been battling yet to be revealed sickness for some time and early this year, he was flown to the US to receive specialized treatment.

The Opposition hooligans mostly from the National Unity Platform questioned the decision to fly Oulanya to receive specialized treatment from abroad.

The party through its NUP US Chapter held demonstrations outside the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance hospital chanting; “Oulanya should go back to Uganda, No treating dictators here.”

Ugandans should know that these NUP party activities all over the world are directed and take place under the knowledge of the top Leadership of the Party in Kamwokya, Kampala.

A section of MPs from the Acholi Parliamentary Group in early February accused NUP for being behind the protests in the USA against the treatment of Rt Hon Jacob Oulanya and even vowed to block NUP leaders from accessing the Acholi sub-region.

In July 2021, after nearly two months without appearing in the public and allayed fears about his health, Jacob Oulanya made a public appearance and argued Ugandans to return to humanity.

He wondered why some Ugandans have made it a habit of holding parties and prayers for sick people to die.

One would wonder if the Honorable Speaker is the first Ugandan to be taken out of the country for treatment.

There are many important persons including those from opposition who have been approved by the medical council to go for treatment abroad and this has been happening for many years.

Is NUP trying to plant a seed of hatrade among Ugandans to achieve its goals and agenda or its Leadership is so inhuman that they wish other people would die for it to gain political capital.

As any double edged sword, the country witnessed the same individuals after the death of the honorable Speaker running to their social media pages to send hypocritical condolence messages to the family and the country at Large.

Ugandans should understand and know the true agenda of these Opposition parties because a house divided against itself cannot stand.

In order to build a better Uganda we should stop meandering in the desert of hatred which is being created by the Opposition hooligans.

Mathew 7:15 portrays the best example of the Ugandan Opposition, it says;

“Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.”

The rogue street behavior some NUP leaders exhibit and encourage among their followers on account of their background must be tamed when they come to the table of political adult players.

NUP as an enclave of tribal political outfit ought to know that it needs to cultivate support or at least goodwill outside Buganda to survive beyond one single election wave driven by social discontent.

The bragging ‘youthful’ National Unity Platform (NUP) members including their MPs have adopted howling insults as their trademark. Their fighters on traditional and social media platforms are so venomous that few, except perhaps, DP President, Norbert Mao, and his ‘one-man army’ can still dare confront them on a defined battle line, otherwise, most victims of their character assassination have chosen to suffer silently.

NUP which has failed to harness opposition parties and attract people of sound minds will continue to suffer humiliating defeats and will always be treated harshly like a white dog.
