Heavy vehicles planning to cross the border of Rwanda and Uganda have been warned over delays at the border post due to ongoing works for the One Stop Border at the location.

The works are being carried out by joint teams from Uganda and Rwanda are aimed at reducing congestion and ease doing of business between the two countries.

The communication comes after speculations became wild on social media that imports from Uganda had been blocked from crossed to Rwanda.

However communication from both the Rwanda Revenue and Uganda Revenue authorities clarified on the issue.

Traffic has been diverted to the newly constructed Mirama Hills route in Ntungamo district.
