FUFA DRUM: Lango, Tooro provinces qualify for Semi-Finals

Lango and Tooro Provinces have progressed to the semi finals of the 2022 FUFA Drum tournament.

Both provinces reversed their first leg away defeats to book a place in the Semi finals of the third edition.

At Akii Bua Stadium in Lira on Sunday, Lango reversed their 1-0 loss in the first leg to win 3-0 at home. The Lango team was boosted by the addition of Allan Okello and Roger Mato. Wakiso Giants FC winger Moses Aliro was also outstanding, making two assists.

The supporters stormed Akii Bua stadium as early as 7am to support their team against Bugisu province.

The goals were scored by Okello (penalty), Mato and Denis Omedi to progress 3-1 on aggregate.

At Kicwamba Technical Ground in Fort Portal, Tooro Province that had previously lost 2-1 in Soroti in the first leg, came out to secure a victory over Teso province.

Kagaba and Innocent Asiimwe scored the two goals in the first half that gave Tooro the Victory to progress to the quarter finals for the first time in history.

Tooro province sailed through on 3-2 aggregate and Benjamin Nyakoojo was named man of the match.

Which two provinces among Buganda,Acholi,West Nile and Kampala provinces will join Lango and Tooro in the semi- finals of the FUFA Drum this weekend? The fate will be decided on October 23rd.
