English Premier League Action Returns Tonight

The 2023–24 Premier League season is set to kick off on Friday, August 11, 2023, with defending champions Manchester City taking on newly promoted Burnley at the Turfmoore Stadium.

The weekend action will also see Liverpool face Fulham at Anfield, Arsenal travel to Nottingham Forest, and Chelsea host Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester City will be looking to make it four Premier League titles in a row, but they will face stiff competition from big teams such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea, as these teams have strengthened their squad with new signings.

Arsenal will be hoping to return to the Champions League after missing out last season, while Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing campaign under Thomas Tuchel and Frank Lampard.

Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to challenge for the top four under new manager Ange Postecoglou, and they will be boosted by the signing of Madison, who will be key in their midfield.

The new season promises to be another exciting one, and the weekend action is sure to be a cracker.

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola believes this season is going to be tougher than the last one.

“We climbed the highest mountain last season, but we have come down that mountain now. We start from the same place as everyone else, with the same intention, and there will be a lot of difficulties climbing the mountain again.” Guardiola said.
