The Uganda Peoples Defense Force has captured the commander of the Allied Democratic Force who commanded the recent attacks in Ntoroko district.

According to the UPDF spokesperson, the ADF commander was captured along with two other rebels during an operation conducted on Tuesday, January 3rd, by the soldiers.

“The UPDF has captured the commander of the ADF group that attacked Ntoroko last month. He was captured with two other combatants. This accounts for all the terrorists that launched the attack. None have gone back. Bravo to gallant combatants,” said the UPDF spokesperson.

It should be noted that at least 26 suspected Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels were killed and 25 others captured as of January 3rd, 2023.

Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) confirmed that about 50 ADF rebels crossed the River Semuliki into Kyanja and other villages that border the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
