The Buhweju Principle Human Resource Officer, Mr. Nicholas Kananura has been interdicted from office on allegations of adding ghost employees on the District payroll.

Kananura is as well accused of over payment of some staff on the payroll.

In a letter addressed to Kananura dated 14th April 2022, the chief administrative officer Buhweju district, Henry Ddamba accuses him of including ghost employees on the district payroll.

In the same letter, the CAO directed Mr. Kananura to discontinue with performing his duties with immediate effect in order to give way for uninterrupted investigations.

The same letter further barred him from accessing the office unless called or leaving the country without permission from the officer responsible.

The letter also indicated that he (Mr. Kananura) will be paid only half of his salary.

Kananura has been the sole data entrant of all district employees on the payroll system.
