BREAKING: UPDF kills 11, Captures eight ADF terrorists

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) have killed over 11 terrorists of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) who had invaded Ntoroko district on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Brig. Gen. Felix Kulayigye, the UPDF spokesperson, said that some estimated 30 ADF fighters on Monday night crossed the River Semuliki into Kayanja village, Bweramure Sub County, in Ntoroko district, with the intention to conduct attacks.

“The intelligence got wind of them, and they were intercepted. A fight is on to decisively deal with the group, and 11 of them have already been put out of action by the UPDF,” Brig. Gen. Kulayigye said.

One of the 11 ADF terrorists killed during the Tuesdsy engagement with the UPDF soldiers in Ntoroko district.

The army has also captured alive a total of eight ADF rebels, and some 10 small machine guns, 01 PK and 01 K1A have been charged from the enemy.

Recently, the UPDF Commander of Operation Shuja in the DRC, Maj. Gen. Dick Olum, emphasized commitment to wiping out the remaining ADF fighters.
