Uhuru Kenyatta Arrives In Uganda for Private Visit

The President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta is in Uganda for a private visit.

The Kenyan leader will hold bilateral talks with President Yoweri Museveni at State House, Entebbe.

Farouk Kirunda, the deputy press secretary of President Museveni, confirmed Uhuru’s Kampala visit, describing it as “a normal private visit.”

The Kenyan President embarked on the planned visits to South Africa and Uganda following the recent visit of the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.

This also follows after his conclusion of a three-day state visit of South Africa, where he also held bilateral talks with his counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa.

He had also earlier held private talks with the top leadership of Ethiopia led by the Prime Minister, Dr Abiy Ahmed and the President, Sahle Zewde.
