Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has begged and cried out to people power deserters to come back to the pressure group following an unprecedented spate of desertions. The singer made this cry why holding a joint press conference and meetup with a few artistes that have remained in his pressure group at his home in Magere, Wakiso district.

The meeting was held as part of public consultations that the parliamentarian plans to hold as he pumps up his push for a presidential campaign ahead of the 2021 general elections. The singer also accused other musicians of self seeking and standing for the interests of the people.

Bobi Wine had hoped to base his campaign mainly on the back of the popular Ugandan entertainment and music industry however the continued public defections of many artistes to mainly the NRM has left him with a lot of work to do.

He repeatedly cried out to Ronald Mayinja who defected people power to create his own political party and who also publicly praised the work done by the NRM and President Yoweri Museveni in uplifting the livelihood of Ugandans and creating an enabling environment for the youth to chase their dreams and passions especially in the performing arts.

Bobi Wine also used the occasion to accuse the government of assassinating a one Ziggy Wine, a former confidant of Bobi despite eye witness and police investigations having proved that he died from injuries sustained from a road accident.

The latest out cry by Bobi Wine is a clear sign that he has started feeling the pressure from the political machinations in the Country and this proves what many of his critics have always said that he lacks the political maturity and experience to run a sustained nationwide political campaign.
