As Ugandans were still criticizing Bobi Wine’s younger brother Michael Mukwaya, aka Mikie Wine, for using Pretty Nicole, a minor, as a vixen in his music video where he danced with her inappropriately, a revelation by one of the members of the camera crew has sent shockwaves throughout the entire country.

According to the cameraman who spoke on grounds of anonymity, Mikie Wine did not just dance with Pretty Nicole; he slept with her for several nights during the filming period since the video was filmed outside Kampala.

“We hired a hotel for three days while shooting that music video; for all the nights we spent in that hotel, Mike Wine and Pretty Nicole were sleeping together,” the cameraman said.

The news of Mikie Wine, a member of the NUP Central Executive Committee (CEC), sleeping with a minor has sent shockwaves among Bobi Wine’s and NUP supporters, who have long viewed the family and the party as advocates for social justice and children’s rights. Many are now grappling with the implications of these serious allegations, which contradict the party’s and the family’s public images.

Family members and representatives of Pretty Nicole are yet to comment on the matter, but sources close to the family say a defilement case against Mikie Wine has already been filed and the upcoming artist is already on the run, fearing arrest.

There is a divide in public sentiment; some express disbelief, while others call for justice for the victim and accountability for those in power.

Activists and child protection advocates are urging the authorities to handle the case with the utmost seriousness and transparency.

“Every child deserves to feel safe in their community. Allegations like this must be thoroughly investigated to ensure justice is served,” said Joan Kalema, a representative from a local children’s rights organization.

As the investigation unfolds, the public is left waiting for more information, with many demanding swift action from law enforcement. The situation highlights ongoing concerns about child safety and the need for stronger protections for minors in Uganda.
