Woman murdered, body abandoned in Eucalyptus trees

The Police in Kabale district have recovered a body of a 26 year old woman who was allegedly killed and her body abandoned in Eucalyptus trees at Kabaraga, in Kabarole Sub County along Kabale – Mbarara Highway.

Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate told the media that the body which was discovered Dec 11th 2018 was positively identified as that of Kesiime Clediance according to the National Identity Card found on her.

According to the ID, Kesiime hailed from Omukabungo village, Mushanje parish, Ikumba sub county, Rubanda District.

“We recovered a National Identity Card that identified her and we are calling upon her relatives to turn up at Kabale Hospital Mortuary where the body was taken and identify her and take the body for burial” Maate said.

He said that there were bruises on the deceased’s face, an indication that she was violently killed.

The case of murder Reference number 22/11/11/2018 has been opened at Kabale Police Station to facilitate investigation into the gruesome murder.

 

He however said that the Police has no clues to the killers who are still at large.
