The Uganda Examination Board (UNEB) has warned all persons against involvement in any form of malpractice.

The warning was given by the Executive Director of UNEB, Dan Odongo, on November 7, 2023, while addressing the media at the Uganda Media Centre.

Odongo said that anyone caught in the act of malpractice will be dealt with in accordance with the UNEB Act 2021.

“The public is warned that there are persons who have set up social media platforms and have been collecting money purportedly to access and supply PLE question papers,” Odongo said.

He revealed that security agencies have arrested some of them, while others are on the run.

“There may be other desperate persons who might try to circulate what they purport to be PLE papers,” he added.

According to the UNEB Act 2021, any person found guilty of examination malpractice will be dealt with in accordance with Sections 25(1), (2), and (4). It provides for a maximum sentence of ten years imprisonment upon conviction.
