The Uganda Cranes Head Coach Paul Joseph Put has summoned a 27-man squad ahead of the 2025 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers games against the South African, Bafana-Bafana, and Congo.
On Wednesday, 6 November 2024, while at the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Headquarters, Mr. Put said the team will begin their residential camp on Sunday at Cranes Paradise, Kisasi, with overseas-based players joining upon their arrival in the country.
Uganda leads Group K with ten points, two points ahead of South Africa.
Uganda will face South Africa on November 15th, 2024, at Mandela National Stadium before ending the campaign away to Congo on November 19, 2024.
The games will kick off at 4 p.m. EAT, as guided by CAF for the final two qualification rounds. All the remaining group games will kick off at the same time.
Uganda, in its previous two games, managed to secure six points after defeating South Sudan home and away.
South Africa and Uganda have played 5 games since 2004, with Uganda having won none and South Africa winning 3 and 2 games drawn.
