Suspected Bomber Linked to ADF Intercepted at Miracle Centre Church in Rubaga

Police has today Sunday at 11.am, September 3, 2023, intercepted an ADF, bomber from DRC, at Miracle center Rubaga church, belonging to pastor Robert Kayanja.

The suspect, identified as Ramathan Abudu Kintu, believed to be affiliated with the ADF, was apprehended at the church with a bag. Upon inspection, IED bombs were discovered concealed inside a food flask.

“When we interrogated the suspect, he led us to Lungujja Zone 8, Nvujju village, where several other assortments of bombs were recovered,” revealed the police personnel.

Police detonated four bombs on site. Kintu was working with five other accomplices, who took off and are now at large.

The security personnel noted that the home belonged to Pastor James Kalanzi of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lungujja.

The suspects are said to have entered the country two weeks ago from the DRC and are said to be targeting churches with large numbers of worshippers.
