Uganda Cancer Institute witnessed an extraordinary event when renowned gospel singer Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu commonly known as Sinach paid a heartfelt visit to the Children’s ward.
Sinachi, celebrated for her uplifting songs like “Way Maker” and “I Know Who I Am,” arrived in Uganda with great fanfare, touching down at the vibrant Entebbe International Airport. The stage is set for an evening of soul-stirring performances as Sinach takes center stage at Lugogo Hockey Stadium on Friday, September 8, 2023.
However, it was Sinach’s sincere mission to bring hope to young cancer patients that truly set this visit apart. Coinciding with childhood cancer awareness month, which has opted for the striking theme of “September Gold,” Sinach’s presence in the Children’s ward aimed to inspire and encourage these little warriors in their fight against cancer.
The Uganda Cancer Institute expressed profound gratitude for Sinach’s visit, affirming the immeasurable influence she had on the young cancer fighters. As if stepping into a scene from their wildest dreams, the survivors themselves even had the opportunity to walk the red carpet during the singer’s visit.
“We take this opportunity to thank, Sinach for taking time off to visit our children ward, give hope to our youngsters who are fighting cancer. She also witnessed the survivors walk the red carpet, ",” the Institute tweeted.
At 51 years old, Sinach has solidified her position as a powerhouse in the gospel music scene. With hit songs like “Awesome God,” “Born to Win,” and “The Name of Jesus,” her melodies reverberate within the hearts of believers worldwide.
