The National Resistance Movement Chapter in the UK and Ireland, led by Moses Mulimira met with Rt. Hon. Amama Mbabazi, at the Uganda High Commission in London and delivered get-well-soon messages from community members in the UK.
“We in the communities of the UK and Ireland wish you a quick recovery and are grateful for the meaningful engagements regarding the socio-economic transformation of Ugandans living in the Diaspora,” said Mulimira.
Rt. Hon. Mbabazi thanked the group for the kind and timely gesture and assured them that he was recovering steadily.
He further advised them to be ideologically clear, promote and protect Uganda’s image globally, and engage in investing back home since Uganda offers a good ambiance for business and economic growth.
“I encourage you to invest back home as Uganda presents more opportunities to be prosperous because of the conducive investment ambiance, and also embrace science and technology to change society,” said Hon. Mbabazi.
The 74-year old Mbabazi, who is in the UK for back ailment treatment, revealed that he was recovering steadily and disputed reports of a stroke.
