Members of Parliament who had crossed from the opposition Democratic Party locked themselves up in a meeting with the former party president Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere to see their return to their mother party.

The team allegedly led by the Masaka Municipality MP Matthias Mpuuga want Ssemogerere to mediate between them and the party president Norbert Mao who has been trading insults at them for being political movers.

A total of 11 MPs from the Democratic Party Members moved to the a pressure group the People Power started by Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi before he elevated it into a political party National Unity Platform NUP.

The intention of most members to use the pressure group to regain their political positions through people power has been rendered useless after Hon. Kyagulanyi told them this week at the launch of their fundarising drive cord named “Muda ku Muda” to decide which party they belong to before its late.

Meanwhile, Jeema president Asumani Basalirwa who doubles as Bugiri Municipality MP has warned party members over using National Unity Platform (NUP) party colors and symbol.

Sources from Mengo Jeema offices, that MP Asumani Basalirwa told party members that they must use only a weighing scale ‘Minzani’ and light blue colour in the forthcoming general elections.

Words from the Kamwokya based People power offices suggest that Bobi wine didn’t heartily welcome the members but accommodated them for media and public attention. Some of the people seeking their return to their parties have asserted that they thought that Bobi wine has clear strategies which was not the case. Others say that Bobi wine feels threatened by other political party members who joined with more experience for fear of usurping his monopoly and autocratic grip on NUP.  Just like he fell out with Bebe cool and chameleon in old days over who takes what and later with Butcherman over leadership issues is the way he will fall out with any one that threatens his position in NUP.
