Mysterious death rocks Kanungu

Kanungu.

The Police in Kanungu District are investigating circumstances under which two people were found dead .

Elly Maate , the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman said that one of the victims Tugume David aged 34 a resident of Katungu village in Kambuga Town Council was found dead in his compound on the morning of Xmas day after he returned from a drinking spree in the nearby trading center.

Its reported that although he spent the whole evening with his wife on the fateful day , the wife entered the house alone and was woken up in the morning by other people only to tell her that the husband was lying in the compound lifeless.

Maate said that a reference case number CRB 595/2018 has been registered at Kanungu Police station to help in investigations but no arrests have been made.

In a similar incident , a lifeless body of Tweyongyere Alex a causal labourer labourer in Kihihi Town Council was yesterday morning discovered in Rutwe cell in Central Ward by the Police on Patrol .

Maate said that the body had no bruises at all and it was taken to the mortuary in Kihihi Health Center 1V for s postmortem report to be carried out.

This was has been registered at Kihihi Police Station under Reference number 267/2018 to help in investigations.

Maate however asked to the people to value their lives and ensure that their lives are protected as we enter into the new year.
