Amb. Ogwang Okul Appointed West Lango Diocesan Senior Advisor

The authority of West Lango Diocese, headed by the Bishop, Rt. Rev. Julius Caesar Nina, has appointed Amb. Dickson Ogwang Okul the Senior Advisor on Partnership and International Relations.

Amb. Ogwang, currently the Deputy Ambassador and Head of Chancery Uganda Embassy, Khartoum, Sudan, is also the Minister in Charge of Diplomacy and International Relations in Lango.

His appointment to the Synod/ Diocesan Governance body of West Lango was announced on Saturday, April 8th, by the Bishop, Rt. Rev. Nina, during a meeting held at the Diocesan Headquarters in Aduku ,Kwania district.

“Yes, what you have heard is true. The Rt. Rev. Bishop Julius Ceaser Nina invited me to the Diocesan Headquarters of West Lango Diocese to officially ask me to serve as  Senior Advisor on Partnership and International Relations,” Amb. Ogwang, also the Head of Pala Ocol Clan of Lango, confirmed his appointment in a brief call.

According to a source, Amb. Ogwang, a Lawyer and a Diplomat, shall directly be advising the top Diocesan Synod Governance body and Bishop, Rt. Rev. Nina on Strategic Partnerships and matters of International Relations in the promotion of the Church’s Mission and Development.

Amb. Ogwang’s appointment comes at a time when he had just announced a strategic plan to facilitate Reconciliations in Lango  by helping bring to a conclusive end the leadership conflict that has split Lango Cultural leadership.
