Francis ZAAKE A Tool For Opposition Propaganda

Mityana Municipality MP, Francis ZAAKE was yesterday presented before court  in Mityana for plea hearing by police. The apparent state and can condition of Zaake irked a section of people who alleged that he was tortured and mistreated in police custody.

Zaake is facing charges of disregarding Presidential directives and risking lives of people of his constituency by going on to distribute food items in complete disregard of health protocols.

Zaake has had many health related skirmishes with the law in Uganda since the arua municipality by-election were he was allegedly beaten and had his kidneys destroyed and taken out. He even had treatment abroad were he spent more time in press briefings and Political rallies than in the hospital.

Zaake is the only politician who has been arrested for the offense since the start of the nation wide lockdown simply because he believes that he is above reprimand. Zaake is not merely being generous to his people but had intent of using this opportunity as a one man protest and as an avenue of undermining the government and rule of law.

Either Zaake has no prevalent health condition or is insane. He has continuously used his image of a sickly individual to portray security forces as torturous. But as we have seen previously, this is yet another stunt that defies logic and understanding. If indeed he has suffered such serious damages, he would have stayed far from such situations. But instead he attracts more of it and seems to enjoy the attention it gives him.
