43rd AAPAM Conference to Tackle Critical Public Service Challenges—Minister Muruli

The Minister for Public Service, Wilson Muruli Mukasa, has revealed that the 43rd African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) Roundtable Conference and General Meeting is set to address critical issues surrounding public services on the continent.

Minister Muruli made the remarks during the start of the four-day conference at Speke Resort, Munyonyo, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, which he said was to be graced by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the Chief Guest.

The minister further said that the conference will be a platform for attracting foreign investment by highlighting Uganda’s strengths and opportunities.

“The conference will lead to increased tourism and spending from international delegates but also position Uganda as a for international events, attracting more visitors and business in the future,” Muruuli said.

The four-day conference will run from November 26-29, 2024, under the theme “Agile and Resilient Public Administration for Sustainable Development in Africa.”

Minister Muruli noted that the over 700 delegates will have the unique opportunity to engage with thoughtful leaders and peers, gaining insights and forging valuable connections.

The minister further highlighted that the conference will feature a rich program, including keynote speeches from renowned experts, panel discussions, and interactive workshops.

The conference, which aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among African nations, will enhance public service delivery and adapt to the evolving challenges of governance in a rapidly changing world.
