Tension has erupted between the leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP) party, Robert Kyagulanyi, and the Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake.

Last week we revealed to you how Kyagulanyi had forced his long-term girlfriend, Salim Tana Sultan to be the NUP flag bearer in Kisoro by-election without consulting the party leaders, a move that had sparked bitter reactions.

The latest information has emerged confirming that Zaake had secretly been feasting on Sultan’s company alongside the Music star- Kyagulanyi.

The friction between the two long-time friends intensified as a result of Bobi Wine’s increasing closeness to Sultan, both in public and private settings, raised eyebrows.

According to Zam Zam Kembambazi, a close associate of Sultan, this relationship has not only upset Barbie Kyagulanyi but has also infuriated Zaake, who felt compelled to confront Bobi Wine about his interactions with Sultan.

Kembambazi revealed that Zaake and Sultan had known each other for many years and his engagement with Sultan also strained Zaake’s marriage, which led to his wife, Bridget Namirembe, 30, to move to Canada for some space.

“Everyone who knows them is aware they are tight friends, many now wonder why Bobi Wine has gotten to be so close to a friend’s side babe Zaake,” Kembambazi stated.

Sources within NUP indicate that the growing rift between Bobi Wine and Zaake has caused a significant divide, with both men no longer on the same page due to the involvement of Sultan.

As tensions continue to rise, the dynamics within the NUP remain uncertain, with the personal lives of its members increasingly influencing their political alliances.
