Honourable Fred Mukasa Mbidde has expressed his admiration for the Chairman of the MK movement, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, by affirming his willingness to provide his unwavering support for the endeavours carried out under the astute leadership of the latter, should he ascend to the position of President.

He stated this on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, when appearing on local television, saying that if given the opportunity, he would join the MK Movement.

“Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba will be a good president of this country. I will support him,” Mbidde said.

He revealed that the fundamental rationale for opposition to Muhoozi becoming the presidency is his unwavering determination to removing the endemic issue of corruption within Uganda’s borders.

“One thing I know for sure is that he will not be good to the corrupt. It is only the corrupt and thieves who may not want him to be President,” he added.

Mbidde, in a resolute manner, vehemently denounced the act of Ugandans passing judgement upon Muhoozi, emphasising that it is a narrow-minded perspective to impede the ascension of a prospective president solely due to his filial connection to President Museveni.

“I am going to support Muhoozi to the extent of campaigning for him and mobilising other DP youths to do the same,” he said.

Mbidde urged Ugandans to give Muhoozi their support, emphasising that he is an experienced leader, fit to govern Uganda.
