President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has urged Muslim community across the country to join wealth creation mobilisation to eradicate poverty among Ugandans.

This was contained in a special message delivered on his behalf by the Vice President Maj (Rtd) Jessica Alupo during the Iftar Dinner held at State House, Entebbe on Friday with the Muslim community.

“In my message to the Muslim community delivered by H.E the Vice President, at  the Iftar dinner in Entebbe, I urged them to join the NRM’s wealth creation sensitization drive that I am currently conducting across the country,”Museveni said.

According to President, whereas we can have spectators in sports and theatre, wealth creation must involve everyone.

He emphasized that all believers should endeavour to join wealth creation, simply because life has both spiritual and material needs, where one cannot satisfy the spirit and starve the body.

“It is also  my prayer that the Muslim community continues upholding the virtues of discipline, humility and charity, which they have displayed during the fasting period. Their righteousness should not be limited only to the holy month of Ramadan; it should be part of them throughout,” President emphasized.
