Police have arrested Flavia Kizito, the secretary of the Kiboga District Land Board, over an alleged fraudulent land transaction.

According to Kiboga Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Mathias Lutwama, the suspect was arrested on Friday, January 27, 2023, following several investigations into complaints by the public.

“For long she has been engaging in office fraud, issuing out multiple leases on land, which has caused conflicts, and always putting it on record that she is a civil servant only answerable to courts, not the ministry of land or even the state house,” Deputy RDC said.

The State House Anti-Corruption Unit has also taken over the case, according to Lutwama.

According to Deputy RDC Lutwama, the board that had previously been suspended by the Ministry of Lands over frauds remained defiant to the directive.
