President Yoweri Museveni while at Chobe Safari Lodge, where he is chairing the NRM CEC retreat, made time to meet leaders of a group of 250 Israeli tourists who are visiting Uganda. This group came here via a chartered direct flight from Israel, something that had not happened since the early 1970s.

The President welcomed them to Uganda saying, “ Our country, given its location along the Equator, has perhaps the best all-year weather in the world. We also have lots of tourist attractions, from wild game in our parks to other features like the Source of River Nile”.

From the amazing gorillas in Bwindi in Western Uganda to the breathtaking Sipi Falls in Eastern Uganda, any tourist would be spoilt for choice. Importantly, it is the warmth of Ugandans that would make any tourist feel at home here. Uganda is the best tourist destination.

The President has continued his role as Uganda’s number tourism ambassador and has continuously promoted the trade by encouraging foreign tourists and investors to come and see Uganda and also engage in it by investing.

Tourism is the leading foreign earner in Uganda and political stability, security and peace are some of the core reasons as to why it has continued to flourish.
