📌 Health Minister, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero on Sunday confirmed a case of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Jinja District. The Jinja case is in Buyengo Sub County’s Kayalwe B Village. The second case is related to a probable Ebola death. The deceased had left Rubaga for Jinja before dying on November 3, 2022. He infected his brother who has also since passed on and was laid to rest on Saturday, 12th November 2022. For any suspected cases, call toll free number (0800299000).

📌Twelve families in Busano and Bungoko sub-counties in Mbale district are homeless following landslides that destroyed their homes, crops, and animals. Jonathan Wandeka Wambwa, the LC 3 Chairperson of Busano sub-county says that the landslide occurred on Saturday afternoon following heavy rains that pounded the area for over five hours.

📌In a bid to protect the agricultural sector from substandard and fake inputs, government through its development partners have conducted training of all agricultural inspectors and agricultural police officers in detecting harmful products which have flooded the market recently. 📌Government through the National Metrological Authority on friday warned the public to brace for floods and mudslides in different parts of the country as it is expected to rain consecutively for the next 10 days. According to the authority, the rainfall forecast for this period indicates that substantial rainfall activity is expected to continue in areas found in the southwestern (Kigezi and Ankole sub regions), the Rwenzori sub region, the Bunyoro sub region, Central, Lake Victoria basin, Lake Kyoga basin, West Nile and Acholi sub region.

📌Government has issued out guidelines that will be followed for one to access PRF. Officials for Parish Revolving Fund (PRF) guided that it is meant to finance agri-based enterprises established by the subsistence households farmers involved in fish farming, piggery, poultry, dairy cows, coffee and fruits and any other selected enterprise in accordance to PDM pillars and guidelines.

While officiating the line in Agago district, Babalanda noted that government is determined to fight corruption and what is lacking is the local people’s tip offs, who are the eyes of the government, to constantly report any form of corruption tendencies and poor service delivery in their respective local areas.

📌According to the Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Olaya Stephen, government workers are to receive their salaries this month of November 2022 and the names of Parish chiefs/Town agents have already been uploaded onto the payroll. The agreement followed talks in the Kenyan capital Nairobi this week on the full implementation of a deal signed between the warring sides 10 days ago to end the brutal two-year conflict in northern Ethiopia.

📌Two vintage military planes on Saturday collided in midair and crashed during an air show in the US state of Texas. The collision caused the planes to plummet to the ground and explode into a ball of flames, sending black smoke billowing into the sky. The incident involved a World War II-era Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra fighter flying at the Wings Over Dallas Airshow at Dallas Executive Airport.

📌A South Korean police official targeted for investigation following the deaths of 156 people in a Halloween night crowd crush in downtown Seoul has been found dead at his home in the capital. The 55-year-old official, identified only by his surname Jeong, was in charge of intelligence affairs at the Yongsan Police Station covering the city’s Itaewon entertainment district where the tragedy unfolded on October 29 2022.
