📌 Health Minister, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero on Sunday confirmed a case of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Jinja District. The Jinja case is in Buyengo Sub County’s Kayalwe B Village. The second case is related to a probable Ebola death. The deceased had left Rubaga for Jinja before dying on November 3, 2022. He infected his brother who has also since passed on and was laid to rest on Saturday, 12th November 2022. For any suspected cases, call toll free number (0800299000).

📌Twelve families in Busano and Bungoko sub-counties in Mbale district are homeless following landslides that destroyed their homes, crops, and animals. Jonathan Wandeka Wambwa, the LC 3 Chairperson of Busano sub-county says that the landslide occurred on Saturday afternoon following heavy rains that pounded the area for over five hours.

📌In a bid to protect the agricultural sector from substandard and fake inputs, government through its development partners have conducted training of all agricultural inspectors and agricultural police officers in detecting harmful products which have flooded the market recently. 📌Government through the National Metrological Authority on friday warned the public to brace for floods and mudslides in different parts of the country as it is expected to rain consecutively for the next 10 days. 📌Government has issued out guidelines that will be followed for one to access PRF. 📌A South Korean police official targeted for investigation following the deaths of 156 people in a Halloween night crowd crush in downtown Seoul has been found dead at his home in the capital. The 55-year-old official, identified only by his surname Jeong, was in charge of intelligence affairs at the Yongsan Police Station covering the city’s Itaewon entertainment district where the tragedy unfolded on October 29 2022.
