West Nile Province Wins the First Leg of the FUFA Drum Semi-Final

West Nile province has defeated Acholi in the first leg of the semi-final securing a 1-0 win at home on Sunday 13th November. The match was played at Greenlight Stadium Arua City.

The streets of Arua City were flocked with fans from both the Acholi and West Nile provinces singing songs of praise to their players and celebrating the theme of FUFA Drum tournament, which is “Celebrating Our Ancestry.”

West Nile Province player Ezra Bida who came in as a substitute scored the winning in the 52nd minute of the match securing a win for his team.

For his role in the game, Bida was named player of the match.

The return leg is slated for 10th December at Pece War Memorial Stadium in Gulu City.

Another semi-final match is scheduled for 20th November between Lango and Tooro.
